Fees and Insurance
Individual Sessions (55 minutes): $150-$200
Extended individual sessions (80 minutes): $200
Family Therapy (60 minutes): $200
I offer superbills for individuals who are covered under other insurance providers. A superbill is an itemized invoice of your therapy session that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Clients will pay for services out of pocket up front and then submit any superbills to their insurance for out of network reimbursement, which is not guaranteed and dependent on individual plan benefits. I encourage you to call and ask your insurance if they accept superbills prior to beginning therapy services.
Initial Consultation
Want therapy but unsure if we will be a good fit? Let’s schedule a 20-minute video consultation to see what you’re looking for; at no cost to you. We’ll talk about:
How I practice and what my policies are
What you’re looking for, as well as a brief risk assessment
Intake Assessment
Before our first session, I will send you paperwork via your client portal. This includes consent forms, as well as a thorough assessment of your history related to your interest in seeking therapy. Completing these forms takes approximately 20 minutes, and they need to be completed before our first session. The purpose of this first session is to better understand what you are looking for, and what your therapy goals may be. Sometimes, this session includes a diagnostic assessment.
It is important to understand that the Oregon Health Plan and Superbills require a diagnosis to approve of coverage for counseling services. That being said, I emphasize transparency during the diagnosis and treatment planning process. If you are not using insurance for counseling, diagnosis is not required. Diagnosis can be seen as a means to accessing mental health care, and it can also provide validation and clarity if you have been searching for an answer for some time in regard to your mental health. If you are wanting to pursue diagnosis, I can provide that to out of pocket clients as well.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is collaborative and creative, and this may look like utilizing art, somatics, mindfulness, and beyond. It is the container to explore your past, your patterns, and how you engage the systems around us. I ask that all my clients engage actively in therapy; this looks like potentially having “therapy homework” or actively reflecting on therapy outside of session.
Family Therapy
Family therapy can help family members work through problems together. My job is to help everyone talk openly, understand each other better, and find ways to solve issues. Whether it’s about improving communication, dealing with arguments, or handling a tough situation the goal is to enhance emotional understanding and foster healthier interactions within the family.
